by the removal of the last utterance in a communicative sense, the conversation or course of speech is essentially paused or stopped at a point in which does not follow the expectance of language. in order for communication to occur, conversing must be prominant for the invovlement of conversation, therefore the subjects that are conversing essentially need to make a connection. if the removal of the 'last utterance' occurs it therefore breaks the connection for the conversation to occur thus causing the disconnection.
